Idea Lab is an informal discussion designed to help investigators develop research ideas before drafting Specific Aims for a proposal. It provides an opportunity to brainstorm with colleagues or receive feedback on specific aspects of a proposal. You are welcome to sign up for an Idea Lab session even if you are planning submission to a different grant mechanism in the future (and not DISCOVER). Our goal is to provide support for our early stage investigators!
If you would like to request an IdeaLab from the DISCOVER team for DISCOVER, please fill out this IdeaLab Request Form with the details of your pilot proposal. If you have additional questions, contact us via email at discover@georgetown.edu.
The GUMC Mock Study Section Program provides comprehensive, study section–style feedback on full grant applications before submission to improve the likelihood of extramural funding success. It is open to faculty at all ranks and career stages and also offers training in the peer review process.
If you would like to request a session, please complete the Mock Grant Review Request Form. You can indicate that you were referred by the DISCOVER Team and that you will be applying for the next funding cycle.
